Rural agricultural landscapes, specifically barns, are an iconic part of America. In this watercolor workshop, Art Guild member and watercolor artist, Sheryl Reeser will teach participants the skills of composition, perspective and watercolor techniques to create beautiful barns in pastoral settings. The workshop is for artists of all levels. Students should bring their own watercolor supplies and reference images of barns.
Suggested supply list:
PAPER: 140 lb. cold press paper in block or separate sheets at least 9”x 12”. If you use separate sheets, bring a lightweight board to tape the paper down. Sketch book and backing board.
BRUSHES: ½ inch and 1 inch flat, #6 and # 10 or 12 round, #4 rigger.
PIGMENTS: Cadmium Yellow Pale, Gamboge (yellow), Alizarin Crimson, Burnt Sienna, Ultramarine or Cobalt Blue, Cerulean Blue, Paynes Grey.
MISC: Palette with large mixing area, pencils, straight edge, kneadable eraser, masking tape, paper towels, old credit card, L shaped ruler, container for water.
