Show Schedule
The 2024 Gallery Exhibits have been set. There is a great mix of Judged Shows, Themed Shows and a Peoples Choice Show. As a member of the Art Guild of Fairfield Glade, you can display items in the gallery every month – with the exception of the Judged and Juried Show. During the Judged and Juried Show, your artwork will need to be juried into the show. The only show that is open to non-members is the Judged and Juried Show. Become a member today and display and sell your art in our gallery.

2024 Themed Exhibits
Themed Exhibits will be displayed in the gallery for one month starting on the First Friday of the month. Everyone is invited to the gallery opening – Friday Fun and Wine!
Themed Art Exhibits are a great way to get a range of artists to exhibit their work together. Not only does it provide established artists with an event to present their work, but it also gives up-and-coming artists the opportunity to enter the art world. Open to all Art Guild members, no additional entry fees. For these themes it is the artist interpretation and choice of medium.
Why Participate in Themed Exhibits
• They help kick-start flagging inspiration and kindle your creativity
• They expand your boundaries and challenge your comfort zones as an artist
• They focus you on making art
• They let you practice, practice, practice!
• They expose you to lots of other artists and their work
• They open-up new possibilities
• They are loads of fun!
Themed Exhibits will be on display for one month only. One wall of the large gallery with accompanying floor space and a designated glass display case or a portion of a wall, floor, & case will be reserved to display the Themed Exhibits. Gallery space will be determined by the number of submissions. Themed Exhibits follow all Gallery Display Guidelines, to include display limits, and the normal gallery artwork in/out schedule. Monthly display limits: Members may exhibit up to 3 pieces and 2 small depending on the size measurements, including the frame, measurements equal the top and one side of the frame. 1 LARGE 51”-72”, 2 MEDIUM 50”-25” AND 2 SMALL UP TO 24”. Note: The one exception – themed artwork entries may be listed as not for sale (NFS) – limited one (NFS) per member.

Found Objects
A found object or found art, is art created from undisguised, but often modified, items or that are not normally considered materials from which art is made, often because they already have a non-art function. Pablo Picasso first publicly utilized the idea when he pasted a printed image of chair caning onto his painting titled Still Life with Chair Caning (1912).
June ’24
Botanicals
To honor the 30th anniversary of the American Society of Botanical Artists, lets all try our hand at creating an accurate Botanical Illustration. Botanical Art is a genre of art that endeavors to faithfully depict and represent the form, colour, character and detail of a plant, identifiable to species or cultivar level. The best botanical illustration successfully combines scientific accuracy with visual appeal.

The Primaries
The “Primary Colors” theme is one in which “the artwork consists primarily of Red, Blue & Yellow. Any subject matter and any media are acceptable in this open theme, as long as the predominant colors in the artwork are primaries.

Using any genre or medium, create art depicting ice in one or several of it’s many forms.
