In this introductory class, participants will have the opportunity to create up to five unique pieces of pottery, including a village plate, wine cooler/utensil holder, leaf pressed plate or bowl, coffee mug/tumbler or a small bowl, leaf impression, doily
impression, house (Christmas village building) and/or a pinch pot. Students will learn how to throw pots on the potter’s wheel and do slab work. Art Guild member and artist John Michael will demonstrate how molds are made and pieces are formed. All material will be provided. Seven different glazes will be available. For over 40 years, John has been sharing his knowledge and creating amazing pottery. Class size is limited so pre-register early. Bring your lunch as this is an all day class.
