CRICUT: Create a 3-dimensional art project With Melea Goins

Artist and Art Guild member, Melea Goins returns to the Plateau Creative Arts Center, teaching a Cricut crafting class. Participants will learn the skills to create a 3D project with their own Cricut Machine. Melea will guide participants as they create unique 3-dimensional designs using free and downloaded images. Minimal experience with Cricut is required. Students will go home with a beautiful framed creation. Melea owned one of the original Cricut machines which hit the market in 2005, utilized a Silhouette Cameo for many years and currently has crafted on the Cricut Maker for over 4 years. Melea will unlock the mysteries of Design Space and its many features.  This class will enlighten students about SVGs, how to utilize and adapt those provided in Design Space, and where to find free SVGs on-line.  This class is suitable for anyone who owns a Cricut Joy, Explorer, or Maker.

Materials needed: Each student will be required to bring their Cricut machine, either a laptop or tablet with Design Space already downloaded, and a standard grip mat. Any weeding, burnishing or scraping tools and extension cords for your machines would be appreciated.

The class is on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 1:00 pm – 4:00 p.m. Pre-registration is required. The cost is $34 for Art Guild members and $36 non-members
