Introduction to Digital Photography – With Jack Retterer

Class Content: This 4-week class will show you how to consistently create photos you will be proud to share with others. For those new to photography, Jack will show you step-by-step how to master the basics of digital photography. For experienced photographers (especially self-taught photographers), we will help you fill in the gaps of your photography knowledge, and help you acquire more advanced skills. This is a hands-on learning experience with weekly practice assignments and one-on-one feedback about your work.

Topics covered will include:
Key concepts and best practices of digital photography.
How to improve family portrait photos.

How to capture compelling landscape and waterfall photos

How to create more dynamic sports and action photos.
Advanced composition and basic editing.

Supply List: Students will need to bring a digital camera and the camera manual. You only need to know how to turn the camera on and take a basic picture.

The class will meet on Fridays, June 14, 21, 28, and July 12, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. The cost of the class is $173 for Art Guild members and $187 for non-members. Class size is maximum of 12.
