In the spirit of the season, students will paint a peaceful snow scene back lit by a setting sun creating a “Winter Glow”. Demonstrations and plenty of individual instruction will be provided to help students create a beautiful watercolor painting. This class is for intermediate level painters. Students should bring their own supplies.
Suggested supply list:
PAPER: 140 lb. cold press paper in block or separate sheets, 9”x12”. If you use separate sheets, bring a lightweight board to tape the paper down.
BRUSHES: ½ inch flat, 6142 Aquarelle flat or 4621 Golden Eagle, or 295 series Winsor Newton.
1 inch flat, 6142 Aquarelle, or 4621 Golden Eagle, or 985 series Winsor Newton.
#6 and # 2 round sable or sabeline. #4 rigger.
PIGMENTS: Cadmium Yellow Pale, Alizarin Crimson, Quinacridone Gold, Burnt Sienna, Ultramarine or Cobalt Blue, Cerulean Blue.
MISC: Palette with large mixing area, Palette knife – with long pointed tip, Pencils, Straight edge, Kneadable eraser, Masking tape, Paper towels, One-sided razer blade, Container for water.
