2025 Themed Exhibits

Themed Exhibits will be displayed in the gallery for one month starting on the First Friday of the month. Everyone is invited to the gallery opening – Friday Fun and Wine!

Themed Art Exhibits are a great way to get a range of artists to exhibit their work together. Not only does it provide established artists with an event to present their work, but it also gives up-and-coming artists the opportunity to enter the art world. Open to all Art Guild members, no additional entry fees.  For these themes it is the artist interpretation and choice of medium.

Why Participate in Themed Exhibits
• They help kick-start flagging inspiration and kindle your creativity
• They expand your boundaries and challenge your comfort zones as an artist
• They focus you on making art
• They let you practice, practice, practice!
• They expose you to lots of other artists and their work
• They open-up new possibilities
• They are loads of fun!

Themed Exhibits will be on display for one month only. One wall of the large gallery with accompanying floor space and a designated glass display case or a portion of a wall, floor, & case will be reserved to display the Themed Exhibits. Gallery space will be determined by the number of submissions. Themed Exhibits follow all Gallery Display Guidelines, to include display limits, and the normal gallery artwork in/out schedule. Monthly display limits: Members may exhibit up to 3 pieces and 2 small depending on the size measurements, including the frame, measurements equal the top and one side of the frame. 1 LARGE 51”-72”, 2 MEDIUM 50”-25” AND 2 SMALL UP TO 24”.  Note: The one exception – themed artwork entries may be listed as not for sale (NFS) – limited one (NFS) per member.

Fabulous Faces

This themed exhibit is for artists of every level to explore the art of portraiture. We welcome any and all mediums to artfully represent the many faces we see.

June ’25
Emulating the Masters

Back by popular demand! Recreate famous works of the Masters, while enhancing your art and color theory knowledge. By emulating their styles & techniques, artists will develop a new skill set to use in personal art projects as well as gain a greater insight into art history. Members will draw the name of the master they will emulate during Fun Fridays starting at the opening of the Member’s People’s Choice

in November, 2024. Members must use the name they draw – exchanges will not be allowed unless the name they draw is the same as the last Masters Exhibit

July ’25
Patriotic

Having or expressing devotion to and vigorous support for ones country. This theme incorporates artwork (in any medium) that is inspired by your country. National colors, icons and flag could be used as inspiration. Cultural identification could also be an excellent starting point.

September ’25
Cityscapes

Create an image that shows a beautiful or thought provoking cityscape. No small town, wilderness, or rural images please. Your creation can be in any style or format so long as it matches the theme of the challenge.

December ’25
Member’s Mosaic

Back by popular demand! Art work is created on a 4”x4” (3/4” to 1 3/8” depth) pieces in any medium. These 4×4 inch pieces will be displayed together to create a mosaic artwork. Pieces will be affixed to the gallery wall with rakes that must be attached to the back by the artist. We don’t usually allow rakes but the size of these makes this an exception. The velcro we used on the past proved to not be trustworthy for an entire month. Limit two entries per member. These entries can be listed as For Sale or Not For Sale by the artist.
