Tennessee Arts Commission

We apply for grants from the Tennessee Arts Commission to assist us in our day-to-day operations and our outreach programs.  The Tennessee Arts Commission has awarded grants to the Art Guild each year.  A quote from their web site states:

“The Tennessee Arts Commission invests in more than 600 nonprofit organizations across the state benefitting communities through quality of life, economic development, tourism and providing a more balanced education for our children.”

Tennessee Speciality License Plates:

Part of the Tennessee Arts Commission revenue is generated from the sale of specialty license plates.  The sale of specialty license plates account for up to 80% of the funds the TN Arts Commission invests in arts projects and organizations every year through our grant awards.

Please consider the purchase of one of these speciality plates the next time you renew your Tennessee License.  Samples of the Tennessee Arts Commission special plates are shown adjacent.  Go to the specialty plate web site for more information.

Did you know that more than 70% of the money used to fund the 800+ grants from the Tennessee Arts Commission last year was from the sale of these specialty license plates? Whether it’s for yourself or as a gift through GIFT-A-TAG, the revenue generated through Tennessee tags has been key to arts’ survival, including the Art Guild at Fairfield Glade.
